Happy Friday

I'm so excited for the first weekend in awhile that I don't have to work! Mr. Cool and I have big plans tonight and tomorrow to visit two new babies that have made recent arrivals into our friend group, and further plans to spend time with my in-laws in celebration of Father's Day. As an added bonus, Sunday is a completely free day for us. We're hoping to make the most of it by getting out of the city for an impromptu day trip, destination (currently) unknown.

Otherwise, this past week found me back in the pool. I had been struggling to make it to the gym three times a week to huff and puff my way through workouts on the stairmaster, and it really hadn't been working for me. Mr. Cool suggested that I find some type of exercise that I truly love so that heading to the gym wouldn't be such a chore. I took him up on his advice, and have already made it to the pool five times this week for morning workouts. It feels so amazing to swim a mile before work, I haven't even really minded my alarm blaring off at 5:15 a.m. Here's hoping I can keep it up and shed some of the unwanted pounds that have crept their way back into my life.

Happy Friday, everyone!

  2. That's great that you've been able to get to the pool every morning! I'm struggling with motivating myself to workout, so I need to take your husband's advice too!

  3. That's awesome that you've been swimming in the mornings, it really is a great workout where you can't feel the sticky icky sweat! Haha! I haven't gone swimming in ages..the only workout I enjoy currently is zumba, because its more dancing than working, at least to my brain! Haha

  4. Excellent! The pool is the way to go, works all muscles. I need to get back to that, I've been slacking because of work. Thanks for the motivation!
