Dear Santa (2012 Edition)

I had a ton of fun last year creating my Christmas wish-list, so I thought I'd put together another one this season. I'm probably a little late in getting this list to my personal Santa, Mr. Cool, but at least he'll have a list for future reference throughout the year! You know, just in case he feel like buying me a pretty gift or two on a whim . . . let's just get to the list, shall we?

I fell in love with these Tracy Reese dessert plates when Target launched its Neiman Marcus capsule collection earlier this month. We have a complete service for 12 of our Mikasa wedding china, yet we always seem to run out of plates by the time our dinner parties are over. A few sets of these pretty plates are just what I need to finish out our fancy dinnerware collection:

Emily's blog was one of the first I ever found in my forays into blog-land. From her perfect outfits to her helpful hostessing tips and crafty DIYs, I love clicking over to her site first thing in the morning for my daily dose of "pretty". I stopped purchasing books for myself as a general rule (no room left on the shelves), but I'll still occasionally ask for a new book as a gift. Hopefully my brother will deliver on this request - if he remembers, that is:

I'm always looking to add to my game collection, and Cranium is one I can't believe we don't own already. We always have fun playing this game at other people's houses, and it's high time we get a copy for ourselves. My cousin recently brought up the idea of hosting rotating game night, and I think it's a great idea. We'll need to bulk up our game collection before then, and this will be a good start:

The next item is one I've been wanting for a long time - a blog makeover! It probably won't come as a shock that I'm not very tech-savvy. I love Blogger for its easy layouts and user-friendliness, but I think it's time for a revamp. I would love to leave this one to the professionals, and I think it would be fun to collaborate with a pro to make my blog vision come to life:

Finally, how gorgeous is this fringe clutch from Banana Republic? It's glam, versatile and pretty all at the same time. I'm pretty sure this is going to be my Christmas gift to myself . . . do I have to wait until after December 25 to get it?

So there you have it! Just a roundup of a few things that have caught my eye in the stores and online over the past few months.

What's on your list this year?

  1. Great list! I would love a professional blog makeover, too. I've tried to override the Blogger templates and make changes in the past, but they aren't always very "change-friendly." I've got a caviar nail kit on my list this year, along with a few other fun beauty splurges!

  2. Love the list! I can't buy any more books either but received the most beautiful book of Hermes scarves as a birthday gift. I love coffee table books!
You know the red (or blue!) lace Zarita is on my list (and Lyst) but I will wait for a sale!

  3. I love those plates too and hope that you get these items! This is an easy list to fulfill and if it is a gift to yourself you don't have to wait until the 25th....lol. I am thinking to get the mini Mac Rebecca minkoff clutch/cross body bag for my Xmas gift.

  5. Gorgeous plates! Wish Target was in NZ. Cranium is a blast, we picked it up earlier this year, good times. If you end up with any gift cars, try for apples to apples, it's a funny word game that always cracks us up! What a fun list, I had a Mia clarasonic, and 'twas delivered!! So spoiled!
