The next morning, we woke up bright and early to join some other friends for brunch at ABC Bakery in downtown Napa. We visited our friend's apartment in a historic mansion (built in 1886!) before rejoining Miss N and company at Sterling Vineyards in Calistoga for the afternoon. The bright and sunny 75-degree day certainly made for a wonderful trip to the winery.
On Sunday, Mr. Cool and I once again went to Mrs. D and Mr. A's condo to watch the 49ers clobber the Falcons and secure their spot in this year's Super Bowl. After the victory, there was little time to celebrate before we needed to dash to the San Jose for Mr. Cool's cousin's "vintage peacock" wedding at the Corinthian Grand Ballroom. After the festivities, I welcomed the opportunity to sleep in on Sunday. Mrs. D and I rounded out the weekend with lunch at Bun Mee, dessert at Sift Cupcake & Dessert Bar and a little reality TV. It's going to be another rough week at work, so it was nice to be able to sit back and relax for the past few days.
