These days, I am having a hard time distinguishing between when I am feeling exhausted and when I am catching a cold. Thankfully, it turned out to be the former, so I was able to visit my friend's new baby as planned this weekend. Mr. Cool and I headed out to Pleasanton on Sunday afternoon to bring them dinner and baked goods and see their new house. Their little girl is absolutely precious, and their 19-month-old boy seems to be adjusting well to his baby sister.
When Mr. Cool and I returned to the city, we immediately got busy putting our apartment back together after the professional carpet cleaners did their magic on Friday. I was thrilled with he results, but after a couple of days of wet socks and furniture piled on top of the couches, we were more than happy to get our apartment back.
Dinner in the kitchen on Friday night: leftover chili and red wine
Love our clean carpets!
The pretty packaging (almost) justifies the $13.99 saffron price tag
Lemon pound cake for our friends
Back to San Francisco on Sunday evening
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

I am so glad you were able to get an extension on that project. Sounds like you had an eventful weekend. I did nothing I was so exhausted from the last weeks of work that all I did was flip through march issues of magazines and watch tv....
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your weekend turned out to be more relaxing and fun than you had initially planned. I'm waiting for our building to get back to me about doing a cleaning for our carpets, as well. It's definitely time!
